Sounds of a Midwestern Winter

Here are the top five sounds that I'm hearing now that never heard in California:

1. Snow being shoveled off our driveway (a job M takes upon himself!)
2. Salt crunching below my boots as I cross the street to work
3. Dog barking because there are deer in the backyard
4. Gobble of wild turkeys as they wander out from the woods into our backyard
5. Requests for hot chocolate after a cold day playing in the snow

Sounds from California, just in case you forgot:
Woodpeckers building a new condo.

Squirrels chattering trying to remember where they hid the acorns.

Highway traffic heading to the local casino.

Your dad snoring in the recliner.

I thought I had already "blogged" these sounds but I can't remember what I did with them!

Sounds from So. California:
Rain drops, raindrops, raindrops!
Those are the sounds from this last week! I heard we're due for another storm Monday.Oh, forgot. These sounds still prevail. Kitty's meowing in the morning for their snack, Bro and Sissy scratching on door for their biscuit.
