T spent about an hour creating the "tablescape" as he called it, for our Valentine dinner. He even polished the silver platter that the candles are sitting on. He was very proud, and I was too.

M hired R and T to be our waiters for Valentines dinner last week. M did the cooking (fabulous!) Both boys got dressed up and served us dinner. R explained what we were eating: "You will be having a tri-tip steak marinated nicely. You'll also be having warm dinner rolls and twice baked potatoes. For your wine, I am happy to serve you a 2006 zinfindel, which I think you will enjoy."

What an awesome dinner.

Sorry for the sideways picture, I'm having a terrible time getting them to stay rotated when I import them to blogger!

By the way, Today is T's birthday -- 9 years old! Happy Birthday!

What a great idea, and I know the boys loved being your waiters. Hmmmmm . . . was there a big fat tip on the table when you left? TeeHeeee! Your telescape is priceless with oh-so-many candles flickering, making a perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner. And I bet you two were reminiscing about a Valentines Day of, let's see, about twelve years ago?

We did all dress up. It was fun. M paid the kids a "salary" of $5 each to be our waiters and I tipped them one buck each. What a blast!

What a wonderful way to celebrate Valentines Day. Way better than going to a crowded restaurant! Happy Birthday T. Way to go to be 9 years old. You're growing up way too fast : )!
