The boys are bringing home a lot of things from school since it's the last week before summer vacation. R brought home something that he "published" (it was a poem he wrote that his teacher selected for R to type up on the computer. She put the finished poem on the wall at school.) Here it goes:
R, Reading your Haiku makes me feel like I am in that forest right now! Thanks for taking me away if only for a little while. Happy they published it. It's truly a keeper & so are you! xoxoxoxograndmaxoxoxoxoxo
Oh what a lovely Haiku, and I love Haiku too! I'm putting this one in my collection. Whenever I read one that I've written, no matter how long ago it was, it always brings me instantly back to that place and the feeling. This one will do that for you, R., I'm sure. It's a little gem of a poem!
Wow! You've gotten something published! That's quite a feat for a boy at any age! It IS a very descriptive Haiku of a forest. I would like to be there right now feeling that soft moss under my feet. Great job R.D.

Oh RD . . . that's just beautiful. Sounds like a perfect place to sit and read a book. Nice job at getting your Haiku published.
