Well, we got to do it again and it was great! My friend who used to work for me at my old job was there (his cousin owns the eight adorable little cottages all in a row) and we got to see his sister and cousins and their kids, just like we did last time. Here's our cute little cottage. It's about 400 square feet, with two small bedrooms, bathroom, tiny kitchen and sitting area. Isn't is so cute?
We all had a great time -- kayaking, swimming, sand castle building, and boogie boarding (M and the boys did this one, not me). Oh, we also collected Petosky stones -- a cool stone native to the area.
Below is a picture of T catching a wave with the kayak. The waves were about 2-3 feet and the boys were thrilled. When there were no waves, T would paddle way out far (it was pretty shallow) saying that he was going to go all the way to Canada!
All of the boys had fun body surfing or boogie boarding. I love M's face in this picture and I love how R is looking at M with a big smile on his face too.
Cowabunga, Dude!
T was one of the official dish washers. I hear that he only broke one glass in the process of washing dishes for 25 people over two days.
At night we would watch the moon-rise and then have a bonfire. In the mornings, M and R watched the sunrises. The weather was perfect -- sunny and 80 degrees the whole time. We always had the entire beach to ourselves. It was such a wonderful, beautiful, relaxing vacation for all of us!

What a wonderful account of your trip. I'm so glad you were able to go again! I love the pictures and I love what great helpers my nephews are. I do have to say that the size of the waves cracked me up. Looked like boogie boarding was a blast though! I hope it becomes an annual trip for you.
Ha! Just couldn't pass up this chance to beat out California Grammy and be the first to comment!
Always glad to hear about someone's perfect little vacation, especially a special little family like yours! So glad you had such a good one, and we love the pictures that show all the fun.
The boys are so cute and growing so much!
Ah, Jen beat me out, wow, that had to be close!
I can't believe I'm the number FOUR commentor! But that's okay, because I just love this posting and the great pictures. What a great vacation with perfect weather too—and that little cottage is adorable. You had just a bit more than we have every day!
I'm so glad for all of you to enjoy this fun time before school starts. My favorite pictures were the ones where the three "boys" are coming in on their bellies with R's eyes on his dad AND Cowabunga, Dude is a great shot!
You all look like you're having a blast. I'm sure the woman behind the camera was smiling at her family having fun. I know how that goes with "Mom" taking the pictures!
Upon looking at this post another time I really like the kitchen pictures too. What great helpers. I wish R were here in the morning flipping some blueberry pancakes for me! And then T can do up the dishes really quick, since there are so few of us compared to 25!
I forgot to mention that when I took the picture of T for the Cowabunga Dude picture, he said "mom, please don't put this on your blog!" I asked him if I could pretty please put it on and he said, "well, if you have to."
Second try! I left a comment but didn't see where it was posted. Sooo I love your blog. You have lots of good photos. It looked like a lot of fun. I wish I had been there too.
Dad
FYI...it's actually 7 cottages. I suppose if you count the brand new Gazebo in the center, it would be 8 cottages. FYI....Gramma P. is doing much better and is at home recouping.
I love that you commented KS in SF!!! We had such fun with your family!
Looks Like a Great Trip !!! And Do we Have some New Up and Coming Surfers in The Family ?
