A note about the weather: It's -5 outside right now and we're in the middle of a blizzard. That means that it's really cold and snow is blowing everywhere.
When it was warmer (in the 20's) we took the kids skiing for the first time. My knees are bad, so I just took pictures. They did pretty well (the boys and M, I mean). Here are some highlights:

The boys practiced "skateboarding" on one ski to get the feel of the ski before putting on two skis.

M and the boys pose proudly on the slopes.

M holds T in between his legs while going up the tow rope. They have just gotten off the rope in this picture. T can do it all by himself now!

T celebrates his victory over the slopes.

Great picture of the cousins in the matching sweaters (are those the ones "gramonthelake" provided?) a great family picture. And the ski pictures look -oh-so-cold! Thanks for the blog, S, it keeps us in touch with your life in the midwest. Can you believe it was 84 at your sister's yesterday?
One more thing—these pictures will be great scrapping pictures, too! Great "first ski trip" page. I can see it now!
Glad the boys are learning to ski, will look forward to a visit maybe from you all to Big Pine. Mammoth is only about 50 minutes away and we would love to see you all.
